GETTING TO KNOW THE Rex AND I
i've really never cared for The King and I, but I've but known information technology from the movie. So information technology was with some apprehension that I chose to drive 2- 1/ii hours on a nighttime dark in San Francisco traffic to see SHN'due south offering at the Golden Gate Theater. And I loved every minute of it. From the fourth dimension the orchestra struck its showtime notes and the ship swung into view carrying Anna and her son, I knew nosotros were in very capable hands. The orchestra was rich and total balancing the lovely voices that brought these songs to life for me. The costumes were beautiful The sets capably took us from one scene to the next calculation richness to the activeness without being intrusive. The lighting worked well, and the motion on stage flowed hands. I feasted on the sounds, the sights, and the chance to get to know why this play has endured. This is a wonderful presentation. Get. Take the family unit. Spend time with each other in beautiful San Francisco finishing the night with this offering. I found it well worth the try.

WONDERFUL Feel
I have gone to many plays and oft come out thinking, I wish the vocals had been better. That was not the instance with The King and I final night at the Moran Theatre. The vocals were superb, the sets rich looking, the kids adorable, and the music of R & H, timeless. Actually enjoyed a wonderful night at the Theatre. Do non miss it!

Fabulous
I was enthralled! Fabled, funny and the fastest ii+ hours I have spent in a long time. Costumes, sets and acting/singing were tiptop notch. A must meet. I wish we had been a piffling closer. We began our evening at the Indochine restaurant which was succulent and reasonably priced.

Merely PERFECT
A masterfully staged product without a weak link in the cast. An insanely outstanding orchestra We saw a matinee, and so I was a fleck worried the energy might exist lackluster on phase. I was so wrong. The operation we saw on July 21 was i of magic, when everything was "on." It felt similar a Saturday dark performance. The leads were perfect in their singing, acting, comedic timing and just their gusto for pleasing the semi-expressionless audience. My married woman and I loved information technology then much we tried to get tickets to the evening performance simply simply the last row was available. Lesser line, Broadway, London, etc., etc., etc....yous'll never see a finer performance of The King andI I.

THE KING & I
I never had such a delightful fourth dimension watching a live performance! I live well-nigh Albuquerque , NM, and watched it at the University's Popejoy auditorium. The settings were gorgeous; the performers magnificent in their acting, singing, & intricate dancing; and, of form, the live orchestra making the musical so real. I've ever loved the film only yous must see it in the theater to get an fifty-fifty ameliorate feel for this touching story, set up in Siam (Thailand). The many children in the play added to the family-friendly nature of "The King & I." I encourage you to go to this infrequent Broadway functioning.

NICE SHOW FOR KIDS AND ADULTS
The show looked similar it was made for the Fox Teater. Information technology only looked like the whole place was in tune with the play. My family unit liked the play. The 2h55 went by so fast

KING AND I Fob THEATER DETRIT
Stunning. Best performance I've seen in a LONG time. The acting, the set, the music, the dance, the vocals, the costumes - perfect. Yes, accept the whole family. Our seats were right upwardly front. If driving from northern suburbs and taking I-75, give yourself a lilliputian more than an hour to become there and park.

AWESOME!
The musical captivatedthe audience with the beautiful voices of the bandage. Anna and the Ling are perfectly matched, both playing extraordinary characters. The dancing was amazing and well thought out. Also, the costumes are fantastic too as the lighting. The designers got it all perfectly. The set was another fantastic part of the show. Everyone in the Hershey surface area should go to encounter this beautiful rendition.

SOMETHING MISSING
The performance was pleasant, notwithstanding I was quite disappointed in the ending. I was expecting Something Wonderful to be played and sung when the King died. Instead, the play ended abruptly and the players came out for the drape call. What a lost opportunity of emotion. I actually came abode and was able to observe and scout the end of the movie on Youtube, and realized that I was right in my expectation. Information technology would have made such a difference.

UNDERWHELMED
I saw this a few days agone and must say it was the least enjoyable show I've see then far this year. Information technology has been many, many years since I saw the movie, but I just didn't care for this. The opening number was nice, only it only didn't meet my expectations overall or entertain me as I'd hoped. The best role of the show was the histrion that played the king. He really was superb throughout the whole testify and he couldn't take done a better job. I had an excellent seat, in the heart of the fifth row, so had a great view of everything. I accept to come from out of boondocks, and so i really desire information technology to be worth it considering it's a solar day long affair and expensive. Deplorable to say, this show only wasn't worth it to me.
